Corporate events,  dinner-dances at private clubs and fraternal organizations, annual Christmas galas, private parties, weddings, reunions, and small "honky-tonks" are all part of Dr. Chuck's many years of professional experience.

Dr. Chuck’s appeal is based not only on his musical and technical expertise, but on the variety of styles he offers. He enjoys a broad range of music because he has had good experiences with so many kinds of music.

Starting young, he played in a polka band and other combos while in high school. Attending the U.S. Navy School of Music in Washington, DC was a formative experience for jazz and big band styles. For three years he was the primary woodwind player in the Com. Sixth Fleet Band stationed in the Mediterranean, playing concerts, receptions and dances in many ports.

During college, he performed with a lounge combo three nights a week for three years and also in a big band that played for weddings in north-eastern Ohio. After receiving Master’s and Ph.D. degrees, he had a career as an educator and director of college musicians for 30 years.  During this time he directed a college jazz band which played for local dances as well as at a five-star hotel for their Valentine’s Day dances and as “clean up” band for their Big Band Weekend.

Following early retirement, he returned to performance as “Dr. Chuck,” a solo performer on saxophone, vocals, and digital keyboard.
